Clinical Consultation for Licensed Therapists
Yoko Hisano, MA, MSW, LICSW
Somatic, trauma-informed consultation for licensed clinicians working with trauma, attachment, and complex relational dynamics
Think more clearly. Work more sustainably.
Clinical consultation offers licensed therapists a supportive space to slow down and think together about their work, especially when clinical situations feel stuck or complex.
This is a somatically informed thought partnership that attends to both case material and the clinician’s nervous system.
A Somatic, Relational approach to Consultation
Drawing from somatic psychotherapy, intersectionality lens, psychodynamic theory, and my training as a Certified Brainspotting Therapist, this consultation supports you in exploring pacing, attunement, countertransference, and ethical decision-making in trauma-informed work.
Rather than rushing toward solutions, we slow the process down—so your clinical intuition, clarity, and confidence can emerge organically.
This approach is especially supportive for early-career clinicians who are learning how to work with complexity without burning out or overriding themselves.
A BIPOC-informed, Intersectional Lens
As an Asian American clinician and immigrant, I hold clinical work with attention to how culture, race, power, and lived experience shape therapeutic relationships.
My background in International Education and intercultural facilitation informs a stance of humility, curiosity, and awareness of complexity—rather than cultural expertise. Clinical material is approached with care for context and identity, without pathologizing cultural experience or bypassing systemic realities.
This space may feel especially supportive for BIPOC therapists and clinicians working across cultural differences.
