A Note on How I Practice

Welcome.
I’m glad you’re here.

I created this blog as a place for reflection—on therapy, the nervous system, and the quieter moments of noticing that often get lost in a culture that moves quickly and asks us to hold a lot.

My work as a psychotherapist is grounded in somatic and integrative approaches, with Brainspotting as a primary modality. At the heart of it, I believe healing happens not through pushing or fixing, but through safety, attunement, and allowing the body to unfold at its own pace.

Many of the people I work with are insightful and self-aware. They understand why they feel the way they do—yet their bodies still carry tension, overwhelm, or long-held patterns that words alone haven’t been able to reach. Somatic work offers a different entry point: one that listens beneath narrative and honors the wisdom of the nervous system.

This blog isn’t meant to be instructional in the traditional sense. Some posts may offer gentle education; others may be reflections, pauses, or invitations to slow down and notice. All of it comes from the same place I practice from in the therapy room—curiosity, care, and respect for lived experience.

I’ll be writing here occasionally, sometimes alongside new offerings, and sometimes simply when something feels worth naming.

If you’re here as a client, colleague, or quiet reader, I hope this space feels grounding and human.

For those ready to engage in deep somatic and nervous-system-based work, or clinicians seeking consultation, I welcome you to reach out. I maintain a limited number of private sessions to ensure focused, individualized support, and I’m happy to discuss whether this work could be a fit for you.

Warmly,
Yoko
